getting caught up

Well this is one big post to get all caught up. We went camping, Kyley turned 3, Hailey had a school program and a bunch of other random happenings.
Deer Hunt. This was Chloe's first camping trip. It was REALLY COLD! Luckily Don's parents let us sleep in their trailer for the one night that we spent.

Moose! We were driving along the Mirror Lake Highway and just off the road there were 2 bull moose grazing. We were right by the Soapstone turnoff, so it made sense that there were moose there. My friend Rose's family has a cabin at Soapstone and everytime we have been to the cabin we have seen moose.

One of the rare ocasions that they love each other. Kyley wanted a hug from Hailey and then she wouldn't let go of her. I wish they could be like this all of the time.
At school Hailey had to do a report on Macaws. The kids in the class made the habitat for their animals. They learned 3-5 facts about their animals and then came to school dressed as their animals on report day. The parents were then invited to visit the "zoo" and learn about the animals. We got to go see each animal and have them tell us some facts about them. It was cute. This was Hailey's costume.

Kyley's first hair cut. Kyley finally got her hair trimed for the first time at the age of 3. It was really just a trim and I am probably the only one that can even tell the difference.
The good ol' days. Don and his brother Jared found their old football jerseys while helping their parents clean out their shed. Are they model material or what!?
It is tradition in our family to go to the pumkin patch and pick our own pumkins. This is not the one Hailey picked but she wanted her picture taken by every one that she liked.

Finally while we were getting the pumkins weighed and paying for them Kyley decided that she wanted to get her picture taken. I am sure it was because she thought she was being funny.
Opening birthday presents. It was only a shirt but look how happy she was to get it.
Ky's cake. I took Ky to the craft store to look at cake pans with the intention of getting one to make little cupcake sized barbie cakes. She saw this one and I am sure you can guess which one we bought.

We were getting out the halloween decorations and I got Kyley to hold the skeleton. By the time I ran upstairs and got the camera she didn't want to hold it anymore so this was the best picture I could get. She is a little scared of skeletons. Do you like the messy face and self picked outfit. She kind of looks like a pirate.

Hailey and 'bear bear' This is her favorite stuffed animal. Of all places it came from Albertson's. I had a gift card from work and it was on clearance after Christmas last year for REALLY cheap so I gave in and used my gift certificate on it thinking it would just end up neglected in the corner of her room but it turned into one of her favorite toys.
Broccoli. You may be wondering why I have a picture of broccoli. I bought a ton of fresh broccoli really cheap with the intention of freezing it. I had to blanch it first and then cool it. So I ended up with a sink full of broccoli and 1 blanched caterpillar and I thought it looked kind of pretty.
